The singer said when his parents moved from India to Birmingham, UK, a lot of Jamaicans also moved there. How did he stumble upon the curious mix of reggae and Punjabi? "Earlier, people used to prefer lot more international music, but now they want more Indian in this part of the world." He also recorded a song for a film featuring Saif Ali Khan, and even has had roles in a few Bollywood movies. "It's again a mix of reggae and Punjabi," he pointed out. He has released a new album, The Sadhu – Moment, a 14-track record in which he has collaborated with singers like Alisha Chinoy, Mana, Balwinder Singh, Sangeeta, Suniti Chowhan and others. "A lot of people don't know that," he said. When asked what has been happening with him lately, he said last year he visited 26 countries, appeared in live bands with Sean Paul, Beyonce Knowles and others, and also released an album, Time for Change. Reggae mixed with Punjabi has been his forte.
